STEP 1. PUPPY APPLICATION FORM
The first thing to do is fill out our Happy Time Doodles Application form. This lets us know what your interests are and how we can help match you with your new puppy. Also, we always recommend being open on gender. We cannot predict the number of boys vs girls.
If you have questions, you can email us on from the Contact Us page or feel free to call us at 859-351-7279. We understand providing a forever home for a new puppy can be scary. Nothing is better than talking directly and getting to know each other. The form also has a place where you can indicate to us whether you might be interested in our Local Family Program.
STEP 2. MAKE YOUR DEPOSIT
If you are sure about getting a Happy Times Doodle puppy, and your application is approved, families can make a deposit on the Pricing/Payment page [link here]. The deposit is $500.00. Deposits can be made automatically by using the PayPal button (transaction fees are included in your automatic payment). You may also send a deposit to us by check, mailed to us at:
Happy Time Doodles
525 Darby Creek
Lexington, KY 40509
The deposit reserves a puppy for you and your place is held in the litter you select. Single deposits are for one litter only. They cannot be used to hold a puppy in multiple litters. Reservation lists often fill up quickly, and we cannot reserve a puppy for you without a deposit. Deposits are non-refundable, however, they are transferrable to a future litter.
STEP 3. NOTIFICATIONS
If you are reserving a puppy before the breeding occurs, we will contact you once the pregnancy has been confirmed. We will also let everyone know when the puppies are born, the number of puppies, and how many boys and girls. Pictures will be posted regularly on our Facebook & Instagram page and the website. Also make sure to follow us on Snapchat!!
STEP 4. PUPPY VISITS AND SELECTION
Puppy selection takes place when pups are between 6 and 7 weeks old. Before that, we will work with each family to make sure that the best match is made for you and the puppy. Flexibility about gender is encouraged, as we never know how many boys or girls will be in each litter. A visit schedule will be made to make and confirm puppy selections. We hope you will visit Happy Time Doodles in person to select your puppy. It is special day for all and great fun! Final and Full payment for your puppy is due by the 6th week after the birth of the puppy.
THE BEST STEP... PUPPY PICK UP!!
The Day You’ve Been Waiting For! The puppies go home with you and become part of your family. Between 8 and 9 weeks of age, families may come and pick-up their puppy. I’m not going to lie, this day is a little sad for us but it also brings us great happiness to see the joy in your faces, because we know they will be loved and cared for so well by our Happy Time Doodle families. - If within the 72-hour period a licensed veterinarian determines in writing that the puppy has a chronic or serious health problem or condition, the Breeder at the Breeder’s sole election shall either refund all sums paid by the Owner to the Breeder for the puppy or deliver to the Owner another puppy from the next available litter. However, if the Owner elects to retain custody of the puppy he/she/they shall be deemed to have waived any and all rights which he/she/they have under this General Health Guarantee.
4. The General Health Guarantee shall become null, void and unenforceable if the veterinarian’s diagnosis determines or discloses that the puppy’s chronic or serious health condition was created, caused, or induced by the Owner’s abuse of the puppy, failure to either comply with Paragraph 2.a., b., or c. above, or failure to take the puppy for care and treatment by a licensed veterinarian at the first sign of unusual behavior or illness.
b. Genetic Health Guarantee:
1. The Breeder guarantees (“Genetic Health Guarantee”) that the puppy is free from any genetic disorders or conditions which will greatly impact the puppy’s overall lifespan or activity.
2. The Genetic Health Guarantee shall remain in full force and effect for a period of 24 months which shall commence at the time the Owner takes possession of puppy. NOTE: ALL veterinarian costs and testing procedural expenses are OWNER’S responsibility.
a) Should Owner choose to keep puppy, Breeder will refund 50% ($1250) of the Companion Pet price that was originally paid for the puppy with the submission of the supporting veterinary reports required above. 50% refund does not apply to any testing, veterinary bills, shipping or travel costs, which the Owner might incur. Owner understands that in choosing this option that any and all further guarantees of puppy’s Genetic Health Guarantee are null and void.
b) Should Owner choose to relinquish ownership of puppy to Breeder, Breeder will provide a replacement puppy to the Owner as soon as such a puppy is available to the Breeder. Owner must pay for any shipping or miscellaneous charges associated with transport of puppies. Breeder will try to re-home the puppy with a family that is prepared to deal with said puppy’s inhibiting defects. If it is determined that puppy cannot function in society as a companion pet due to genetically derived medical disorders then puppy will be euthanized at the Breeder’s expense.
c) Additional Terms of Health Guarantees:
1. Other than those provided above, no other health or medical guarantees, express or implied, are provided by the Breeder to the Owner.
2. The General Health Guarantee and Genetic Health Guarantee are provided to the Owner designated above only and no other person. The above-stated General Health Guarantee and Genetic Health Guarantee are not transferable.

4. In the event the Owner seeks to exercise his/her/their rights under the
General Health Guarantee and/or the Genetic Health Guarantee, and the two unassociated veterinarians disagree with each other’s findings then both veterinarians shall jointly select a third veterinarian to undertake an examination of the puppy and the determination of that latter veterinarian as to the health and/or genetic condition of the puppy shall control any rights under this Agreement.
5. While it is recognized that Labradoodles have a pleasant general temperament and disposition, the Breeder cannot and does not guarantee the general temperament or disposition of the puppy inasmuch as general temperament or disposition, in the absence of a serious veterinary condition or illness, often depends on the environment in which the puppy is raised as well as the love and affection which is displayed toward the puppy.
6. Death due to injury, accident, owner neglect or any other cause will not be eligible for a refund. Breeder is not responsible for injuries sustained, illnesses contracted or death during transportation.
5. GENERAL PROVISIONS:
a. The laws of the State of Kentucky shall govern any and all actions to enforce, interpret, or seek relief for breach of this Agreement. Any such action to enforce, interpret, or seek relief for breach of this Agreement shall be initiated only in the Circuit Court of Madison County, Kentucky. By entering into and executing this Agreement, the parties hereto agree to voluntarily submit to the jurisdiction of the Circuit Court of Madison County, Kentucky regardless of where either party is actually located or resides.
b. Prior to the initiation of any action in the Circuit Court of Madison County, Kentucky where such action seeks relief in connection with the puppy’s health, the parties shall seek to resolve any dispute which may arise under or in connection with this Agreement by submitting their dispute to mediation by a veterinarian upon whom the parties agree. If the parties fail to agree upon a veterinarian to mediate their dispute, a veterinarian of the Owner’s choosing and a veterinarian of the Breeder’s choosing shall select a separate veterinarian to mediate the dispute. The parties shall cooperate in good faith in any mediation conducted pursuant to this Agreement.
c. The Owner represents that he/she/they have read this Agreement and fully understand the terms contained herein.

Dear Puppy Buyer,
As a dog breeder, animal health is my top priority. That’s why NuVet Plus immune system builder is required as part of your pet’s Genetic Health Guarantee.
Hundreds of thousands of dogs and cats are using NuVet to support their immune system and provide optimal health. A strong immune system will protect them from environmental and food toxins such as back yard pesticides, hormones, germs from public places, and even toxic formaldehyde in furniture and carpeting.
This is not just a vitamin. It’s an immune system builder with a precise balance of vitamins, minerals, omega fatty acids, amino acids and high-potency antioxidants. That’s why it works so well through all three stages of a dog’s life.
For puppies - Fills the immunity gap all puppies experience. Shortly after birth maternal antibody effectiveness is greatly reduced. By 8 weeks your puppy’s immune system is at a vulnerable point. Once in their new home, the immune system is weakened by the stress of adoption and exposure to novel bacteria and viruses in their environment. This is also when the vaccine series is started. Vaccines are only effective if the immune system can respond properly. Starting NuVet Plus now is important to helping your puppy grow into a healthy adult.
For dogs in their prime - Improves the luster of their skin and coat while providing the necessary antioxidants, amino acids, vitamins, mineral and more to sustain their body’s peak performance during the prime of their lives.
For older dogs - Helps provide the nutritional requirements to help them live long, happy, and productive lives in their senior years.
I highly recommend NuVet Plus to keep your pet on the path to perfect health! It’s not available in stores, and is only available to the general public with an order code from an authorized pet professional.
For your convenience, you may order directly from the manufacturer by calling 800-474-7044 and using Order Code: 63296, or ordering online at www.nuvet.com/63296. You can also save an additional 15% and assure you never run out of NuVet by choosing the
“AutoShip” option at check out.
To the long life and health of your puppy!
